The menu bar icon is very large, this is inconvenient for someone with a laptop who uses complex apps with lots of menus. Whenever the app is running there is an invisible window open called BackDropApp which messes up Expose. The rain sound effect is the best one, but there is a very distracting pause every few seconds because it doesnt loop seamlessly. The developer has no real support page and no way to contact them, this doesnt make me very confident that they will ever fix these issues.

Use it all the time to study to. Really helps to break the silence with a soft touch of sound. Two thumbs up for me!!

More sounds would be nice, but come on! Its free! Really great the way it is. Cant sleep without the ocean sound anymore!

I like to drown out my children upstairs when Im working on my computer (well, really anytime) and this does the trick.

I was going to uninstall this app because I didnt like the sound options it provided in previous version. Luckily the developer added "Rainforest", "Rain" and "River" - among other options - in the latest update, and Ive been listening to "Rain (light)" all day and Rainforest all night. If you are the kind of person who likes the sounds of nature, especially if you live in the city and the nearest park is hours away, you will like this app :)

This app, in its previous version, already offered a few sounds that I loved for noise (could even mix a few running more than one instance of it), especially as it is a free option. Now, with the update, the sounds are of a much higher quality, I can say I like multiple more of them (i dont need to mix them anymore), and they are near flawless, almost unnoticeable sound loops. Great quality app (would make a great addition to the iOS family).

Fun and simple app. Its mindless, but perfect and easy to use. Animal noises would be interesting as an option.

The app wasnt my favorite at first, but now its awesome! (Light Rain is my loop of choice.) Great for both background noise and for blocking out noisy distractions. I got it while it was free, but Id say its definitely worth the $3. My singular issue (and this may not even be a real issue) is that the app, like many others, triggers the dedicated graphics on new MacBooks. I dont see why this is necessary since the app doesnt render any visuals, but I suppose I could be missing something. Nevertheless, fantastic app! Cant wait for more sounds!

This does what is says and does it without any fuss. Got even better with the last release, except for one thing: no more pink noise! I give it 5 stars despite that, as its that good. If you need white noise for any reason, doesnt get much better than this.

Sounds are clean and real. Back in the 60s they had a whole series of stereo records called "Environments". They recorded live sounds from around the world. They even had one of sounds from inside a mothers womb. I forgot I had Chill turned on and thought it was raining outside and spent the whole afternoon at the computer. Guess Ill stick with rainforrest, beach and ocean from now on.

I literally cant do work without it now since downloading it. I turn it on and use it all day with the rainforest being my favorite. Superior product, great price and my stress level is reduced by the great white noise it produces. Price is definitely worth the therapy! :)

Awesome app to run while working. Background sounds are very soothing, but not distracting or sleep inducing. I use it everyday.

Very relaxing and simple to use. I recommend this app if you spend extra time on your Mac working.

I just got this and have been listening to it for about 20 mins now and have yet to hear a single skip point. It has amazingly clear recordings. I use it for studying to drown out the world so that I can concentrate. I would 100% recommend this app. Worth every penny. P.S. Thunderstorm is the best track.

It does what it says itll do, and well. It is not at all cheesy, doesnt sound fake, doesnt obviously repeat. You can get lost in the sounds without getting caught up on patterns or flaws. Pink noise would be wonderful to have, but the app isnt hurting for choices, either.

I cant believe how effecive this app is for my studies. Im working on a PhD and I need a lot of quiet time, most of the time Ive used music from my ipod or Pandora from my iPhone. Chill is a much better alternative for me. It does a better job of blocking out the environment and does not distract from my study. Ive tried other types of apps for but this is the ONLY one that I found that sounds realistic and does not have obvious repeating "LOOPS". Thank you for the extra care in building your sounds. This app is great

All the new noises only come out of my left speaker and my left headphone. Im sure its not my speakers/headphones since the other sounds output sound from both sides. Id like to see the loop time for rain forest extended or at least have the more distinct sounds like the bird chirp at more random intervals. Once it gets predictable, it no longer becomes background noise (like listening to music youre familiar with). My favorite is still fire and heavy rain. If the updates are fixed, then Ill gladly change the rating. Please adjust rain forest!!!! =). Oh, and I like the added timer as well. Though I just always leave mine running when Im at my desk.
